The New Gap Logo


The public does not like change, and that was apparent last week when The Gap unveiled it's new Logo and created an media brouhaha. The general consensus is that everyone hates it. I am a long time Gap customer and to be honest, I don’t mind the new logo. It’s new and fresh, although it does look like a logo of a major telecom company. What is surprising is how much backlash there has been. It’s been no secret that Gap stores have been doing poorly for several years now. Many customer’s have simply moved on to newer more exciting brands. Maybe this new Logo is the sign of a re-invention. If nothing else this has brought the brand more publicity then it’s had in years....and maybe that was their intention all along. Bad or good, at least people are taking about the Gap again,
